"The possibilities of modern visualization techniques for the information
seeking and retrieval process are demonstrated (e.g. web search, digital
libraries, on-line databases). The aim is to enhance the efficiency and
effectiveness of the retrieval process. Students will learn how to support
the users of such systems starting at the query formulation till the
result presentation."
