project description

Most of the current available methods for geo-spatial data with time dependency deal only with movement data without taking into account the spatiotemporal context of the movement. The context includes properties of different places and different times and various spatial, temporal, and spatiotemporal objects affecting and/or being affected by the movement. Context information could be weather or environmental data or any other kind of data influencing the object's behavior. My aims are to develop theoretical foundations and novel scalable methods for analyzing movement in context. The developed methodology will be verified through creation of prototype software tools and their evaluation in real application scenarios in cooperation with domain experts.
