project description

Non-photorealistic rendering (NPR) is a subdomain of Computer Graphics, which describes the creation of abstract and artisitic representations.
Such representations are widely used for illustration or sketching (technical documentation, medical visualization, architecture).
Most NPR techniques do not use object information. All rendered objects are created with the same style.
The goal of this project is to use semantic object recognition to control a non-fotorealistic rendering process.
That means that each object contained in a scene is rendered with different styles depending on the semantic of the object rather than using the same style for the whole scene.
